Guides/Princesses/Blazers/Mates
Fostering father/child relationships...
No gift you give your son or daughter will mean as much as the time you spend with him or her. And you'll find that you treasure those moments, as well.
The YMCA Y-Guides and Princess programs are for boys and girls in the first through third grades and their dads. Tribes are composed of seven to nine fathers and their sons or daughters. Tribes meet twice a month in a member’s home with fun activities.
Upon reaching fourth grade, many Guides and Princesses continue in the YGP program as Trailblazers and Trailmates, respectively. Tribes mostly participate in group outings throughout the year, including Camp Rockmont in the Fall and season ending Spring Outing.

New Dad's Meeting, Dues Info & Trailseekers!
The new dad's informational meeting for Wake County dads interested in joining YGP will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 7:00pm, at the Jane S. McKimmon Center on the NC State campus in West Raleigh. This is a Dads Only event - no children, please. Dads can attend with tribes already formed or can find a tribe to join based on zip code and/or neighborhood.
2009-2010 Program Dues
We would like to start off by saying that dues are vital to the livelihood of our program.
They allow us pay for all of the patches and program supplies, they pay for the staff, and they allow us to continue to keep the cost down on many of the events like Fall and Spring Outing. We are counting
on all you chiefs to help make sure that we get all the dues in for the upcoming season. The 2009-2010 dues will be $91 per pair for non-members of the YMCA, $73 per pair for members of the YMCA.
and for each additional child in the program: $27 for Y members and $33 for non-Y members
Dues must be paid before Friday, October 2, 2009. You must pay your dues before you can register for the Third Year Date Night, Third Year Pow-Wow, and/or the Camp Rockmont Fall Outing. Dues may be paid by several methods: over the phone with a credit card
(Visa, Master Card, & American Express), by mail with a check, or in person (check, cash, or credit).
To make payment over the phone, please call Renee Holley at (919) 582-2228
