Spring Outing Sign-ups under way...
We are happy to announce the dates for our 2012 Spring Outings (red dates are officially full):
2nd Years: A - March 30-April 1 & B - April 13-15
1st Years: C - April 20-22 & D - April 27-29
3rd Years: E - May 4-6 & F- May 18-20
Trailblazer: G - May 25-27
In order to do this, we are allowing Guides and Princesses to attend the Camps during the same weekends. Don’t worry. Guides and Princess Tribes will be in separate cabins.
We will allow 100 people to switch into any weekend except the Trailblazer weekend, also on a first come first serve basis.
You’ll also notice that we’ve added an additional Trailblazer ONLY Spring Outing at Camp Sea Gull on Memorial Day weekend. We are excited to be able to add this weekend to the schedule.
These weekends fill quickly, so pencil in both weekends as you prepare your schedule. Our hopes are that all of these changes will help minimize waitlists.
Registration for Spring Outing will begin January 31. Cost for the weekend will be $128 per person, $256 per pair. Specific registration information will be available in the coming weeks.

Why don't you go fly a kite? Or rocket?
March comes in like a lion, so why not harness that power by flying a kite? The annual Kite Day will be on Sunday, March 11, 1pm-4pm at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. Please note the change in location from previous years. Due to the RBC Center hosting the NCAA tournment that weekend, the Carter-Finley Stadium parking lot will not be available.
Bring your own kites or rockets! There will be kite vendor on site selling kites and repair kits. This makes for a great tribal event or fun for the whole family! Bring chairs, snacks, drinks, etc. and make an afternoon of it! Don't forget to pick up your patch!

2011-2012 Program Dues Information
The 2011-2012 dues will be $93 per pair for non-members of the YMCA, $76 per pair for members of the YMCA. For each additional child in the program the fee is $35 and $28, respectively. Trailblazers no longer have to pay dues. The Y Guides office will be sending out invoices to all current participants in early June. We accept checks and CC by mail (Visa, MC, & AMEX), and checks, CC, and cash in person at the office.
Y-Guides Refund Policy: The YMCA Guides and Princesses Program will refund any outing payment less a $25 processing fee if registration for the event is cancelled one weeks prior to the scheduled weekend. Any requests made the Monday-Thursday of the event week will result in a refund of half of the outing fee. There will be no refunds for the event if the registration is cancelled on the Friday of the assigned weekend or after the assigned weekend. There are no refunds offered for the Winter Inning.
