Chief's Challenge:

To seek and preserve the beauty of the
Great Spirit's work in forest field and stream.

When I was asked to serve as Nation Chief, I spent several weeks trying to decide what would be our Chief’s Challenge.

I considered many topics, but none of the choices seemed quite right. I re-read our Aims for inspiration and the selection became obvious.
The 6th Aim — “To seek and preserve the beauty of the Great Spirit’s work in forest, field and stream” — is a cause that is getting lots of attention these days. There are few topics as important as the preservation, restoration, or improvement of our natural environment. I ask that you and your child have a discussion on the importance of taking care of the Earth. Involve your child in completing as many environmental tips/projects listed. Complete and check off 10 of the following projects and you and your child will receive your Chief’s Challenge patch.
